Part of Troodos-Platres road closed until Monday morning due to rockslides (Update)

Police announced on Sunday that due to heavy rain in the Troodos region, part of the Troodos-Platres road near ‘Psilo Dentro’ has been closed due to rockslides caused by heavy rain.

The road will remain closed until Monday morning and all debris has been cleared away, police said.

Also the road from Kaminaria to the Jelefou bridge has also become dangerous, police said for the same reason. Drivers are urged to travel at slow speeds in that area and to comply with traffic instructions.
