Fire damages pub in Peyia

A fire which may have been an arson attack caused damage worth €20,000 to a Peyia pub early on Monday morning.

At around 6.50am police were alerted to a fire that had broken out in a pub in Coral Bay avenue.

The fire service quickly extinguished the blaze which damaged furniture and electrical equipment in the building.

The scene was cordoned off and police are examining possible causes of the fire.
