Some hardcore giving

Next Sunday the Daxi Group will host their second annual Daxifest Charity Music Festival at Ayia Napa Stadium from 11am to 1am, with a performance by Minus One as the headline act.

But before we fast-forward to the band who represented the island at the Eurovision song contest entry this year – who will own the stage at 11pm – let’s see what else the festival has to offer. There will be more live entertainment, including dancing by local dance groups, a bit of Rock ‘n’ Roll, and musical performances dedicated to Neil Diamond, Freddie Mercury and Michael Jackson. There will also be over 50 stalls selling food, drinks, sweets, authentic Cypriot products, toys, games, homeware, beauty products, clothes, fun experiences and more. The kids will also enjoy the full day that will also provide a children’s corner with bouncy castles, face painter, games and activities.

The big bang of the night will come just an hour before midnight when lead vocalist Francois Micheletto, together with the other four band members, will do what they do best: give their own Midas touch to everything rock. So expect to hear some of your favourite classic rock songs like never before.

All profits from the festival will be shared between KEPA charity based in Paralimni and The SBA Police Food Project in Larnaca. Both charities are dedicated to feeding less fortunate families during the winter period.
