Police seeking hit-and-run driver who injured boy 13

Police said on Sunday they were seeking the driver of a truck who didn’t stop after hitting a 13-year-old boy who went to cross a road in Aglandjia on Saturday.
The boy, who had just begun to cross the road sustained injuries to the right side of his head and his arm but is not in critical condition.
Police said the incident happened at 12.45pm on Saturday on Egnatia Street. The truck did not slow down or stop after side-swiping the boy who was taken by ambulance to the Makarios children’s hospital in Nicosia and kept in for precautionary reasons when his injuries were treated.  
Police appealed to anyone who knows anything about the accident to contact the Nicosia traffic department at Tel:22802023, their nearest police station or the citizens hotline 1460.
