Russian arrested for taking photos in north

Ayia Napa police say a 32-year-old Russian on holiday in the resort town, was arrested in Famagusta Monday night by Turkish Cypriot police after taking photographs.

According to police, a 28-year-old woman, also a tourist from Russia staying in Ayia Napa, reported she had received a text message from the man, who was visiting Famagusta, informing her of his arrest by in the north at around 8pm.

The United Nations were informed of the incident.
