Rocking that guitar

There is a real, live guitar hero coming to our capital next weekend and you won’t want to miss it.

The two rock concerts at Exantas Music Stage, will bring to the stage the guitar loving artist Kosta Vreto – whose finger-picking style, natural talent and hard work has made him a true strumming hero. The guitarist won’t be left alone to create two rocking nights, he will be joined by members of the bands Arrayan Path, Saint Judas, and Kraama. But before all these musicians combine their talents, the performances will begin with the local heavy metal band Rustx.

Over the past six years, Vreto has released seven albums – including two personal full length CDs. From his very first album, Skin On Strings, he showed the music world his abilities as a composer, showcased his technical skills and led the way for him to work with some major music companies.

And there is much more to this success story. He has been on stage with some musical legends, including Paul DiAnno (who used to perform with Iron Maiden), Uli Jon Roth (who was a member of the Scorpions), Horizon’s End, and Vavel. The guitarist has also co-founded Wardrum and Jaded Star, two emerging and most promising heavy metal bands.

This year he is busy touring, and we are next on his travels. So be ready to rock along to Vreto’s guitar magic – but make sure not to blink too much, you might not catch all the sliding action on the strings.
