Saloon registrations rise 27% in September to 2,592

The number of saloon cars registered in September rose 27 per cent to 2,592, the second highest in more than five years, compared to the respective month of 2015, the statistical service said.

In January to September, total saloon registrations rose 31 per cent compared to the respective period of 2015 to 20.991, Cystat said in a statement on its website on Friday.

While the overall increase in registrations in September resulted from a 43 per cent rise in registrations of second-hand passenger cars to 1,761, in the first nine months of the year the number of registrations of new saloons rose 31 per cent to 1,364 and of used cars 33 per cent to 12,470, Cystat said.
