Baghdatis off to a winning start at Paris Masters

The Cypriot was in good form in his opening match and plays Grigor Dimitrov next

Cyprus star Marcos Baghdatis is through to the second round of the Paris Masters after a 6-2 6-4 win over wild card and local favourite Paul-Henri Mathieu of France.

Thinks get tougher for Baghdatis, currently ranked 36 in the world, in the second round with a clash against Bulgarian 14th seed Grigor Dimitrov – who the Cypriot has only beaten once in seven previous attempts.
