Be a traveller through our history

The Leventis Municipal Museum in Nicosia offers a last chance today to visit A Journey into the History of Cyprus exhibition.

Frederickou, who is also an educator, reshapes the past in images, symbols, allegories and creatively depicted messages in this collection.

All those who will be around Ledra Street will have the chance to view paintings, sculptures and small art-installations which were created during 1965 to 2016. These art pieces will – as the title suggests – take viewers on a journey into the long history of Cyprus by means of a retrospective artistic path.

The exhibition brings together objects, events and people from the birth of the island to the present day. Its thematic unit called Crisis touches on current economic, social and environmental issues.
