Three Romanian men were remanded for three days by Nicosia court on Wednesday in connection with investigations into offences concerning prostitution.

The remand orders followed the arrest on Tuesday of four men in a Nicosia suburb.

The Cyprus Mail understands a raid was carried out on premises from which a prostitute was working in the Pallouriotissa area of the capital. Three men who were parked up in a vehicle nearby who appeared to be coordinating the operation and collecting money, as well as another man were arrested. The woman was not detained.

The anti-trafficking office is continuing investigations.
