Listen local

There have been a lot of marketing campaigns since the economic crisis about supporting local products. And why should music be any different? So if you are into listening to some really rocking cover songs from some of the best local bands, then this week Larnaca will provide that local vibe for you.

First up on Friday will be Prospectus, a seven-member band that is known for its electrifying performances. Very much charged and ready to go, the band always performs with dedication to Greek rock and a contagious energy to last until the wee hours of the next morning.

With an equal love of rock music and a great stage presence, the band who will be rocking Larnaca on Saturday will be Cashiers.

The four-piece band cover songs that they find interesting, and right now that interest points towards Greek and English tunes with a progressive pop-rock sound.

Since the boys came together in 2011 they have showed off their stage presence while being the opening act for many a Greek band that has come to our shores, including Pyx, Locomondo and Melisses.

Whichever band you choose to entertain you – or if you want to live the local sound to the max and see them both – your weekend is set.
