Two men reported damage to their property following separate shotgun attacks early Wednesday in Limassol, police said.

At around 1.40am this morning, police received information from a 54-year-old, that someone had fired a shot at the door of his residence, in Limassol, police said.

“From preliminary investigations by police who arrived at the scene, it was ascertained the shots were fired from a hunting shotgun, which resulted in shattering a glass pane.”

Reports say the damage from the attack, which took place in the Omonia area, was estimated at around €50.

A little later, at 1.55am, police were informed by a 30-year-old that someone had fired two shots at the glass entrance of his premises in Kato Polemidia. Police investigations again showed the damage was caused by a shotgun.

Both men told police they did not suspect anyone, but reports suggest the attacks may be drug related and carried out by the same party.

Limassol CID are continuing inquiries.
