Jazz is in the Paphos air

Technopolis 20 cultural centre will be in a jazzy mood tomorrow when Pavel Skornyakov will take to his saxophone with Leonid Nesterov accompanying him on the piano.

The accomplished musicians will perform a selection of their original compositions and also other well-known jazz pieces.

Coming over from Russia specially to perform, Skornyakov will impress with his musical talents. This rising jazz star is a gifted composer and musician. He is a virtuoso of the alto sax, soprano sax, tenor sax, and flute and has performed in different cities across Russia and Europe.

Based in Moscow, Skornyakov’s achievements include performances at jazz clubs and festivals alongside a variety of international musicians, including: Valery Ponomarev, Anatoly Kroll, Scott Hamilton, Mark Turner, Sharon Clark and many more.

Nesterov found his musical calling in Latvia and moved to Limassol in 2010 to continue his career, where he regularly gives performances with other musicians or as part of the Leonid Nesterov Trio. He also plays with various musicians from the Baltic states, Germany, United Kingdom, Russia, Israel and other countries.
