Men in court over beating of Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot men

Two men, 37 and 33, will be taken before court on Monday in connection with assaults on a 52-year-old Greek Cypriot and a 53-year-old Turkish Cypriot, who were found injured along the Limassol beachfront on Sunday night.

According to a police report, the two injured men were rushed to the Limassol general hospital, while the two suspects were seen approximately 100 metres away from the scene, one holding a wooden stick and the other a crowbar.

They were arrested in connection with the incident.

The 52-year-old victim was found to have suffered pneumothorax, subdural bleeding, and a skull fracture, while the 53-year-old sustained injuries to his forehead, lacerations, and a subdural hematoma.

Limassol CID continues to investigate.
