Finance Minister Harris Georgiades has pledged that government efforts for economic recovery will continue with the same gravity and intensity.
Georgiades, addressing the opening of Cdbbank premises in Limassol on Tuesday evening, said the bank’s decision to open facilities in the coastal city is important for both the banking system and the country’s economy because it constitutes one more confirmation that the period of uncertainty and recession belongs to the past.
In this new course of recovery and fresh prospects we need to remain steadfast and committed, he said.
He gave the government’s assurance that “we will ensure that Cyprus will continue to be a stable, credible, safe and competitive investment destination.”
We owe as much to our fellow citizens, to local and foreign investors and to everyone who demonstrates again in practice their confidence in our country, the finance minister said.
