Cigarettes stolen from supermarket

Cigarettes worth €7,000 were stolen from a supermarket in Peyia in the early morning hours on Wednesday.

The owner of the supermarket was alerted to the burglary when an alarm went off at 3.20am and he immediately notified police.

Members of the police force and the owner rushed to the scene and found perpetrators had forced entry and stolen cigarettes worth €7,000.

Various items were seized to facilitate further investigations.
