Carols for canines

Come along to Arhilaou street in Nicosia tomorrow, when the Convocanti Vocal Ensemble will sing carols in aid of Saving Pound Dogs Cyprus.

The vocal ensemble, formed shortly after Christmas in 2012 for the purpose of a jazz night organised by the Cyprus Broadcasting Corporation, is currently made up of seven members – sopranos Lesley McBright and Maria Theodorou, altos Lindsey Ladommatos and Anne-Marie Tellalis, tenors Gregory Dellas and Konstantinos Papathomas, and bass-baritone Andreas Iacovides.

Even though the ensemble’s members come from various professions they have all had musical training and they all share a love of jazz and swing.

Leaving behind their swinging ways just for one evening, the ensemble will sing Christmas carols to help give dogs looked after by SPDC a special Christmas. This is why there will be a €10 per person donation at the door.

Apart from the music, you can also enjoy a glass of wine and nibbles.
