Houses evacuated after fireworks go off in Paralimni blaze

Authorities evacuated four houses in Paralimni on Tuesday after a fire broke out at 1am inside a container whose cargo included fireworks.

The fire service cordoned off the scene due to the explosions. The fire was extinguished but fire trucks remain at the scene as a precaution.

Police and fire service officers were investigating the incident.
