Man arrested for beating partner’s friend

A 31-year-old man from Oroklini, Larnaca was arrested on Thursday night for allegedly assaulting a 21-year-old woman who was taken to hospital with injuries to the face and body.

Police said it was alerted at around 7am on Thursday that a young woman was found bleeding in an apartment complex in Pyla.

It is believed that the woman was assaulted by the 31-year-old following a heated argument he had with her.

According to reports the woman is a friend of the 31-year-old’s partner, who had witnessed the incident.

The 21-year-old was taken to the Larnaca general hospital where she was treated for a broken nose and other injuries to the face and body.

She was kept in hospital for observation.
