Take your pick of Greek sounds

Just before international DJs really start to take over the island, a handful of singers from Greece will spoil us for choice on Friday.

Starting off in Nicosia, singer Natassa Bofiliou will perform at the breathtaking Skali Aglantzias. The singer, who is considered to belong to the alternative music scene in Greece, released her first album in 2005. Bofiliou’s success is not only due to her strong voice but also to the bond she has with the musicians she shares the stage with – something which will be apparent under the moonlight on Friday.

Also in Nicosia, boy band Melisses will rock the State night club. The boys will make the girls swoon and the boys dance way into the wee hours of the morning.

If you are Limassol bound on Friday, you may choose to have the pleasure of being entertained by a singer who is as funny as he is original. Panos Mouzourakis will perform with his usual humour at the Municipal Gardens Theatre.

Whichever way the musical wind blows you on Friday, be sure to leave your Saturday morning open for you will, most likely, still be partying.
