The Dro.Me.A Racing Running Club in Troodos

The Dro.Me.A Racing Running Club will run its first Garmin Cyprus Troodos Marathon on June 11.

Apart from the marathon, runners can run in the eighth ice power Troodos green run with a distance of 15 kilometres and the nutribakes pine tree five-kilometre charity run, as well as the 600-metre run for kids.

The runners will compete on the Troodos natural trails and those participating in the marathon and 15-kilometre race will run through the island’s highest point, while taking in the breath-taking view.

Runners of 18 years old and over can take part in the marathon and 15-kilometre race – events that have an increased degree of difficulty due to the rocky terrain as well as the high altitude.

Registration for the marathon and all other runs is currently open online at For the children’s race, there will be on the spot registrations on the day of the event.

The event aims to promote an ecological conscience towards the protection of Cyprus’ forests as well as promote charity. It also aims at creating opportunities for social sport.
