Police hunt man’s attackers

Police are looking for up to ten people who reportedly attacked and injured a Nicosia resident early Tuesday morning.

A few minutes after midnight police were alerted that an injured man had been seen on a Nicosia street.

Officers found a 27-year-old man with injuries to his face in a car near a supermarket.

The victim told police that a little earlier he had been attacked by ten unknown persons. He said they beat him up and one stole his wallet which contained about €550.

He was transferred to Nicosia general hospital where he was diagnosed with a nasal fracture and head injuries and was kept for treatment.
