Injured sailor airlifted to hospital

A Syrian sailor had to be airlifted to hospital on Thursday after he fell from a height of three metres and was seriously injured.

A helicopter was dispatched to the area where the ship was, 10 nautical metres northeast of Cape Gata in Limassol.

The man was flown to Nicosia general hospital, arriving there at 1.30pm.
