Police caution parents about uploading children’s photos

With beach season in full swing, police on Sunday cautioned parents against uploading photos of their young children to social media where they can be stolen, altered and circulated on paedophile networks.

“There are predators lurking online who at any moment can copy and keep these photos on their computers or alter them,” a brief announcement said.

“Therefore we urge everyone to be careful about posting photos of children online. Think twice! Prevention is the best way of avoiding dangerous situations.”
