Road safety event in Limassol

A road safety event to highlight the need for increased road awareness took place at the premises of the port and maritime police in Limassol on Wednesday morning.

The event, which was organised by the traffic department of Limassol police, included presentations by the representative of Limassol traffic department Pambos Karis, the president of the Giorgos Mavrikios foundation Lena Katelari, representative of the foundation Katerina Panayiotou, Christis Merkouris and Andreas Demetriou from the Dancing Queen Foundation and representatives of the Limassol road volunteers.

At the event, held in the presence of Limassol police officer Solomos Solomou and the commander of the port and maritime police Yannakis Georgiou, the racing car in which Panicos Polycarpou participated in the Pancyprian Rally Championship as well as motorcycles belonging to the Limassol motorcycle club Egophobia were exhibited.

The morning ended with a debate on road safety issues during which Nicolas Psaltis was honoured for his contribution to the Limassol road volunteers by police.
