Paphos District Court

A man was remanded for seven days on Friday in Paphos in connection with attempted murder on a 15-year-old after allegedly trying to strangle the boy.

The arrest was made after a 19-year-old woman reported to police that on Thursday at 11.40pm, her stepfather, 41, attacked her teenage brother and tried to strangle him during a fight with her mother and her three minor siblings.

The teen was taken to the first aid department of Paphos general hospital where was being treated and examined by a forensic practitioner.
