Man reports online fraud

A 62-year-old Irish man living in Paralimni, Famagusta, reported a case of online fraud, police said on Saturday.

The man told police that, sometime earlier this year, his e-banking personal information was stolen and illegal transfers were made from his account.

The transfers, he claimed, resulted in the theft of €7,500.

Police are investigating the case.
