June saloon registrations up 49% to post-crisis peak

The number of saloon registrations rose 49 per cent in June to 3,657 compared to the respective month of 2016, which is the highest number in a month since July 2009, the statistical service said on Tuesday.

The number of private passenger car registrations rose 34 per cent in the first six months of the year to 18,339 per cent compared to the respective period of 2015, Cystat said.

The registrations of brand new saloons made up 43 per cent of total registrations in June and 42 per cent in January to June, Cystat said.
