Cannabis arrests

A total of 4 kilograms of cannabis was seized on Sunday night by police in Limassol, from a 33-year old man and a 36-year old woman.

When the 33-year old’s car was searched by police they found 3 kilograms of cannabis packed in three bags. Following that, a further investigation was conducted at his home, where the 36-year old woman was, and an additional 1 kilogram of cannabis was found.

Both the man and the woman were taken into custody after the issuing of warrants related to the possession with intent to supply of cannabis and will be questioned.

Meanwhile, two other men were arrested on Sunday afternoon for the possession of cannabis in Polis Chrysochous, Paphos. They were both arrested after being stopped by police control in the area being carried out by officers on motorbikes who stopped around 40 cars.

The two, aged 39 and 21, were arrested and admitted the cannabis was for their own use.
