Tired swimmer rescued by lifeguard at Coral Bay

A lifeguard at Coral Bay, Paphos, rescued a swimmer and carried him out to shore, it emerged on Saturday.

According to a report, a Greek Cypriot man swimming at Coral Bay shortly after noon Saturday, felt tired and could not return to the shore, thus being in danger of drowning.

He was spotted by lifeguard Vasos Christodoulou, who rushed to the spot and was able to carry the swimmer back to safety.

While the man is in good health, he was taken to the Paphos general emergency room for preventive reasons.
