Emergency hotline for Cypriot US hurricane victims

The Cyprus embassy in Washington is operating an emergency hotline for Cypriot citizens in the US that might be affected by Hurricane Harvey that is battering the Texas coast.

No incident has been reported to the foreign ministry so far involving Cypriot citizens, the government said on Saturday.

According to an announcement, the foreign ministry is closely following developments regarding the hurricane expected to affect the US Gulf coast, particularly the states of Texas and Louisiana, until August 30.
In case of emergency or for consular assistance, Cypriot citizens may contact the emergency line at the Cyprus embassy in Washington on +1 202-681-1162.
They can also contact the Greek general consulate in Houston on +1 713 876 7072 and the Honorary Consulate of Cyprus in Louisiana on +1-504-568-9300, ([email protected]).

The duty officer at the foreign ministry outside working hours can be contacted on +35799660129
