You too can collect rubbish

A wonderful example: a woman with a big bin-bag walking all along the Parekklisia beach side, picking up rubbish, “a regular run”, she told me. While I am not advocating taking a big bin-bag, just take a bag and collect any rubbish you find. It all helps and it’s amazing how much you can collect. And not just on the beaches, but in the forests, anywhere.

On the negative side, another woman who saw what the first woman was doing, collected a few bits and pieces but instead of putting them in the bins provided, dumped them in the ‘Rubbish lady’s bag’. Then there are those people who almost trip over rubbish and do nothing…
