Fire destroys warehouse in Dhali (Updated)

A fire that broke out overnight at a warehouse in the industrial area of Dhali, was brought under control early Sunday.

Six fire engines were sent to the scene but by the time the blaze was extinguished one section of the warehouse had been completely destroyed and the other two badly damaged.

The contents of the destroyed warehouse included vehicles and industrial and agricultural equipment.

The cause of the fire, which was brought under control around 6am Sunday, were being investigated.

According to later reports, the first indications are that the fire was caused by an explosive device, CNA reported.
