Arrest after man suspected of posing as doctor

Limassol police have arrested a 41-year-old man on suspicion of being a bogus doctor, it emerged on Tuesday.

The man presented himself as a dermatologist, offering various beauty treatments, including botox injections.

He was arrested after police set up a sting operation using a female officer pretending to be a client.

The officer went to the suspect’s premises on Tuesday for botox treatment but arrested the man just before the injection.

Police collected various items from the premises and the suspect was taken to the CID offices for questioning.

The medical association said the suspect was not registered on their books, nor did he appear to have a degree in dermatology.

He was expected to be brought before Limassol district court on Wednesday.
