Man beaten, robbed in Nicosia

Police are investigating a mugging in Nicosia early on Friday morning during which a man was injured.

The 22-year-old victim reported to police that while walking in the old town at around 1.30am, he was attacked by a group of people who beat him up and stole his phone and wallet.

The injured man, a Nicosia resident, was taken to Nicosia general hospital where he received first aid.

He could not identify his attackers, merely saying that it was a group of five to seven people.
