Burglary suspect arrested in Limassol

A 25-year-old man who was wanted in connection with a burglary was arrested on Sunday evening in Limassol.

Police officers spotted the man driving in Limassol at around 10.50pm and proceeded to arrest him under a warrant which was pending against him.

A 61-year-old man reported to police that between August 31 and September 2 unknown persons broke into his country house in Limassol and stole three shotguns and a pistol worth €3,100 in total.

Investigations pointed to the involvement of the 25-year-old man who was detained after his car was searched.

Officers found various burglar tools, a dummy pistol, a small amount of drugs and other objects in the car which they confiscated.
