Nearly 200 limesticks seized in Larnaca village

A bird stuck on a limestick

Police carried out an anti-poaching operation early Sunday, seizing 184 limesticks and a number of dead wild birds in the Larnaca district.

The operation was carried out around 2am. It was followed by a search at the home of a 54-year-old suspect in a Larnaca village. Police said they found bird-sound devices on the premises.

Kofinou police are investigating.
