Arsonists destroy cars in Limassol

Five cars were destroyed in Limassol early on Tuesday after they were set alight by arsonists, police said.

The fire service had been notified to respond to a blaze at a used car dealership at 3.30am. The fire destroyed five vehicles and damaged a sixth one as well as the dealership’s front.

The business belongs to two men, aged 50 and 38.

Damage was estimated at €100,000. A preliminary investigation showed that the fire was set using flammable fluid.
