Bomb blast outside garage

Police warned people to mind their bags

A bomb exploded shortly after midnight on Wednesday outside a vehicle repair shop in the industrial area of Mesogi, Paphos.

The explosion of the device, which contained a highly explosive material damaged the entrance of the shop. The damage has been estimated at €500.

The two owners of the premises, aged 37 and 39, said they didn’t suspect anyone.

The scene has been cordoned off and investigations are ongoing.
