The House plenum on Friday voted for a draft law stating that 2017 sewerage charges should not exceed those for 2016.
In cases where charges that exceed the 2016 fees have already been paid the additional amount will be refunded to residents next year.
The draft law was tabled by Disy, Diko, Edek, Solidarity, Elam and Limassol MP Pavlos Mylonas and was declared urgent.
Another draft law which was adopted by the plenum concerns the number of hunting dogs allowed to accompany each hunter.
40 MPs voted to raise the number from two to four. Greens MP Charalambos Theopemptou voted against the move.
