Two new playgrounds unveiled in Finikoudes

Two new playground areas at the beachfront Finikoudes avenue in Larnaca were officially delivered to the municipality on Friday.

According to a statement issued by Metro supermarkets, during the delivery ceremony marketing director Melina Skordeli thanked the municipality for the opportunity to contribute to the city.

“We look forward to future actions, always in collaboration with the Larnaca municipality, like contributing to the placing of toys in the municipal gardens, currently under renovation,” she said.

Thanking the Metro supermarkets delegation, Larnaca mayor Andreas Vyras said that “such actions are extremely important and help not just the city but the residents, too, by making them active citizens and promoters of the quality of life and the environment we live in”.

“Close cooperation between the private sector and local government helps the broader work done by the Larnaca municipality, since it offers the opportunity to hear suggestions and views which can then be instrumental in undertaking projects,” he said.

“I hope that this action becomes an example for other stakeholders and private citizens.”
