Anastasiades visits Louvre

President Nicos Anastasiades, who on an official visit to Paris with the First Lady and a delegation, on Monday visited the Louvre, and specifically the Cypriot collection housed there.

The collection includes Neolithic and Bronze Age antiquities and contains the giant Amathus vessel, which dates back to the 6th century BC and it is made of limestone.

The jar is considered by archaeologists as unique in the world because of its construction and size.

Earlier Anastasiades gave an interview to the French newspaper Le Figaro, focusing on energy, which will be published in Tuesday’s edition of the newspaper.

At 5.30pm Cyprus time he is due to meet French President Emmanuel Macron.
