Falling tree damages home and cars

The fallen tree on Michalakis Kousoulides street in Nicosia

A falling tree brought down an electricity pole and damaged two cars and the pergola of a house in Strovolos, Nicosia on Monday.

According to fire service spokesman Andreas Kettis the tree, probably because of strong winds, fell on the wooden pergola of a residence in Michalakis Kousoulides street, a road parallel to Athalassa Avenue, at around noon.

Nodody was injured and the tree was moved by the fire service.
