Hairdresser’s bag snatcher arrested

A 36-year-old man from Limassol was arrested on Wednesday after he stole handbags from women in a hairdressing salon.

CCTV footage from the premises on Griva Digenis street, showed a man wearing jeans and a short sleeve T-shirt walk into the hairdresser on Tuesday and run away a minute later headed west clutching the handbags.

One contained €3,000, credit cards, 2,000 rubles and other personal items while the second handbag contained €60 and 50 rubles.

He was subsequently arrested on Wednesday.
