Raising voices for charity

The Achord Community Choir will perform together with the Cyprus Brass Band and Harmony Singers, Paphos, next Saturday to raise funds for local charities.

Just before the Christmas rush and the season for Christmas caroling, the choir – together with their singing guests – will perform their annual concert at the Sunshine Taverna, Curium Beach, in aid of local charities.

Over the years the choir has raised money for local charities, while also inviting other singers, like the Cyprus-based Island Blend Chorus and The James Lamberts Singers from North Wales, to perform alongside them.

This time the charity performance will include various joint items from both choirs. Each ensemble will also perform works from their own repertoires, making it an enjoyable evening with a wide variety of musical styles.

The Achord Community Choir is “extremely grateful to their many supporters and followers who are committed and loyal to everything they aim to achieve. They look forward to your support at this event so that they can raise as much money for charity as possible by doing what they love to do most – making music,” the choir members said.

Tickets for the concert are €10 per person and can be reserved by calling 99-741972 or 99-372978. There will also be an after-show buffet available to audience members at €10 per person also.
