Storms and rain on the way

Winter weather is on the way with rain and storms expected on the island from Sunday night, lasting into the beginning of next week, the met office said on Saturday.

According to the met office, Sunday is expected to be partly cloudy with isolated showers, with rain and local storms developing later in the day.

Temperatures are expected to be 23 degrees Celsius inland, in the south and east coasts, around 21C in the west and north coasts and 16C in the mountainous areas.

Monday is expected to be cloudy with showers and storms throughout the day. The same weather patterns are expected on Tuesday morning but later in the day the phenomena are expected to wane.

Temperatures are expected to slightly drop.
