Minor earthquake near Limassol

A 3.3 magnitude earthquake was recorded on Monday at around 1pm in the villages Phinikaria and Armenohori in Limassol, the island’s geological survey department said.

The epicentre of the earthquake was the area of Phinikaria-Armenohori, it said, 12 kilometres north-east of the city of Limassol at a depth of 20 kilometres. The earthquake, that occurred at 12.52pm, was slightly felt in the wider Limassol district, it said.

No injuries or damages were reported.
