Music has no language

Two pianists will do more than join their musical notes on Friday in Paphos, their music will bring two cultures together.

Pianist Manolis Neophytou from Cyprus and pianist Canan Kocaay Camurtas from Turkey will go on a musical journey and coexist through works of Greek, Turkish and Russian composers, demonstrating that the power of music is stronger than our differences.

The concert is part of the European Capital of Culture Pafos2017. It will see Neophytou, who studied at Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatoire, meet Camurtas, who studied at the Zurich University of Arts, on the Markideio Theatre stage to uphold the motto of the capital of culture, which is that music and the arts have no borders.

Meeting of Two Cultures
