Labour minister’s husband dies aged 70

Labour Minister Zeta Emilianidou

Costantinos Emilianides, the husband of labour minister Zeta Emilianidou, has passed away. He was 70 years old.

Emilianides was a prominent lawyer, practicing in Cyprus since 1977. Among others, he specialised in contractual, corporate, copyright and family law, and was a former chairman of the Nicosia bar association.

In a statement conveying his sincere condolences to the deceased’s family, President Nicos Anastasiades described Emilianides as “a prominent personality who distinguished himself for his ethos, professionalism and integrity.

“His passing is an immeasurable loss to his family and, more broadly, to Cypriot society.”
