Two arrests after theft and malicious damage

Two men were arrested in connection with a case of theft and malicious damage in Paphos on Wednesday, police announced on Thursday morning.

The owner of an apartment complex, 45, reported to police that over Tuesday night/Wednesday morning two televisions, two decoders, a number of mobile phones and a cash register with money were stolen from a fenced-in area of the complex.

The perpetrators had damaged the fence to get access.

The two men, aged 18 and 22, were arrested after people testified against them. They are being detained pending further investigations.

During a search of a vehicle belonging to the 22-year-old officers identified part of the stolen property.
